We have completed registration and protection of new Polish raspberry varieties from Instytut Ogrodnictwa in Ukraine.
Following varieties are included in the National List and, therefore, can be officially marketed:
PRZEHYBA (application 23296001)
POLESIE (application 23296002)
POLONEZ (application 23296003)
POEMAT(application 23296004)
Ukrainian growers know very well varieties Polka and Polana, bred in Horticulture Institute in Brzezna (part of Instytut Ogrodnictwa). In fact these varieties are the main backbone of Ukrainian and Polish raspberry sector.
New varieties are more productive, resistant to diseases and have very competitive taste and appearance. And new early ripening floricane variety PRZEHYBA (named after the mountain), undoubtedly can be considered the largest raspberry in the World!
Registration of varieties in the State Register enables local growers to legally use them, to import plant material for planting new, productive plantations.
And Ukrainian plant nurseries are welcome to apply for propagation licenses to grow certified planting material.
